Using hypnosis for weight loss purposes is not a quick fix. Participants must partake in multiple weekly sessions over a matter of several months in order to get the best results. In other words, one session will not do the trick. ABC News reported on a woman back in 2005 named Judy Lederman. She reportedly had “tried every diet known to man” with no success, as many people have. She turned to a hypnotist for help. Within about three years, Judy had lost 95 pounds using hypnosis as a tool for her weight loss. Her hypnotist explains how hypnosis can help you lose weight, saying that while the person is “completely relaxed and open to suggestion”, he is able to suggest things like “The sugar cravings you have in the afternoon no longer interest you” and the like.
